Euro cage pallet family

Euro cage pallets, often referred to as Gitterboxes, are becoming more readily available through Avatans extensive storage facilities in and around London. Initially having introduced these to our product range only as a second hand item, Avatan now routinely carry stocks of new Euro 90 Rigid cage pallets, both with the European standard timber deck and also with the preferred more durable corrugated sheet steel deck.
Used and refurbished Euro cage pallets are still available but they have become harder to find, encouraging Avatan to invest in stocks of new equipment to meet customers immediate needs. The rigid Euro cages and collapsible folding cage pallets are fitted with the standard half drop gate offering excellent access to the cage contents while stacked. Fitted with strong mesh in all four sides, enabling customers to clearly see the contents of each cage, Gitterboxes may alternatively be manufactured with sheet steel sides. Although the collapsible Euro style cage pallets are only suitable for 900kg uniformly distributed load per pallet stackable four units high, approved Euro Gitterboxes are fitted with a plate acknowledging their suitability for 1500kg uniformly distributed load per pallet stackable four units high.
With sturdy corrugated steel bases, Euro cage pallets may be accessed by fork lift trucks or hand pallet trucks facing either the long or the short sides of each stillage giving maximum versatility in confined storage spaces.
Although only currently stocked in the full height 970mm high models, Avatan routinely supply several height options including 500mm, 570mm and 640mm.
Available with a half drop gate as standard, these gitterboxes are also available with full height gates or with no gate at all.
Euro cage pallets and Collapsible Euro cage Pallets also now form part of Avatans extensive rental fleet, available for long and short term hires in large and small quantities. With up to 270 of the Euro 91 folding cage pallets fitting in a 45′ trailer, these are very economical to transport.

Low cost Hypacages in stock

At Avatan, we have been stocking Hypacages for some years and have now extended our range including heavier duty more durable items to suit a wider use. To date, we have carried stock of light duty Hypacages, only suitable for 500kg stackable four units high. We have also routinely carried stock of Stackable Retention Units, available for sale and for hire. Both of these items are popular sellers and customers are reliant on these being available for a quick turn round rather than having to wait for purpose built more conventional stillages and steel pallets.

Accepting that 500kg loading is limiting for some uses, we have now developed a heavier duty range of collapsible Hypacages. Keeping to the standard British pallet size of 1200mm x 1000mm, our new items have an overall height of 1000mm and are suitable for 1000kg per cage stackable four units high. This doubles the capacity and opens up the possibilities for these very effective and simple cages. With all four sides folding flat onto the sturdy base, these may be transported empty for a fraction of the cost of assembled cages. They are similarly particularly suitable for seasonal storage requirements where the collapsed Hypacage may be stored in much less space.

This larger, heavy duty Hypacage is optionally available with fork loops, ensuring that the cage can be lifting safely and securely centred on the fork lift and taking away sideways slippage risks.

We are not suggesting that Hypacages are suitable for all eventualities and therefore offer an extensive range of more conventional stillages, cage pallets, box pallets and post pallets. Manufactured in our UK plant, rigid and collapsible stillages can be designed to suit your own very special needs.
